Classy enough to win a $16,000 maiden claiming race going 7 furlongs at Tampa Bay Downs, Saygoodnightgracie relished the chance to drop in class for a 6-furlong allowance March 1 at Fonner. Favored at 11-10 in her first start for hot local trainer Steve Hall, Saygoodnightgracie carved out the pace and pulled clear down the stretch to score by 3 1/2 lengths.

Saygoodnightgracie is a standout in terms of Brisnet Speed ratings and should duel her pace rivals into submission Tuesday. We’ll bet her to win and key her on top of an exacta, with the stretch-running #1 Mean Erika (8-1) underneath.
