Fonner Park, Race 9: $5,000 claiming (1 mile, 8:36 p.m. ET)
Planning to play the late Pick 5 on Wednesday at Fonner Park, which features a mandatory payout of the $301,675 jackpot pool? You can’t win your share of the prize without picking the winner of the finale, and from our perspective, the two key contenders to use are #4 Moonfield (7-2 on the morning line) and #6 Charmin Dixie (9-2).
Two weeks ago our carryover into mandatory payout day was $195,705 and the total pool became $1,983,242. Get ready for Mandatory Wednesday. The carryover is: $301,675. pic.twitter.com/GNYIfXT90r

Stablemates conditioned by Fonner’s leading trainer, Isai Gonzalez, Moonfield and Charmin Dixie look like standouts in this 1-mile claiming race for fillies and mares.
In terms of Brisnet Speed ratings, they’re consistently the fastest horses in the field, and both have run well going a mile. Moonfield has already won twice sprinting at Fonner this winter and figures to flash speed under hot jockey Jake Olesiak, while Charmin Dixie enters off a victory going a mile at Delta Downs, where she overcame a troubled start to beat the next-out winner A J’s Grand.
For the Pick 5, we’ll use Moonfield and Charmin Dixie equally and trust one will prevail. We’ll also box them in the exacta and hope to cash a nice intra-race payoff.

Good luck!
