Harness Racing: $1.00 Pick 3 at Yonkers Raceway

A $1.00 Pick 3 on races 2, 3, 4 on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at Yonkers Raceway can be won with our strong low-priced ticket.

Race 2

#5 Shake A Leg, scratched from a Meadowlands race, returns to Yonkers where in his last race he was caught late after being used hard storming to the front. If he races here saving some ground but staying close to the probable favorites, #1 Money Maven and #4 Showmeyourguns, he could win at a decent price.

Race 3

Making his racing debut, three-year-old #4 Win Place’n Show improved in qualifying preps against strong performances by American Rebel (who won at Pocono at 6-1) and Some Waratah N (who recently won his first race in the U.S. at Yonkers at 7-1). Win Place’n Show is a well-bred New York colt (trained by veteran horseman Chris Ryder) that can win at first crack.

Also keep an eye on first-time starter, #1 Thinking Of Slim. He qualified in January three times, two of which were fast and impressive.

Race 4

The best of the rest last time out, #1 Dark Energy N finished second impressively behind a multi-length winner.

Recently claimed, #2 Cinnabar Dragon, was strapped with Post 8 when handed over to a new trainer in a race where he had no chance of making a buck. For his new owners he gets Post 2 in a conditioned event, a good sign the claimers want to keep him to make money.
