Harness Racing: Yonkers Pick-3 selections for Feb. 1
Our plan for winning a $1-based Pick 3 at Yonkers Raceway on Monday, Feb. 1 uses the bet-a-little-make-a-lot method. We've constructed a moderate-cost for tickets with two rules: 1) Never put more than three horses in any leg, and 2) Never single a horse in any leg.
Race 4
#4 Bettors Fire N has been forced to race on the outside in his recent two races, doing best at this class level when shipping to Yonkers His regular trainer, Heidi Gibbs, knows the 13-year-old pacer still has winning properties.
While changing tracks often in 2020, #3 Our Corelli N has raced best at Yonkers. His recent change in trainer is a positive, and his back class is better than that of most in this field.
Race 5
Leaving from the outside may not be a chore for #7 Virgin Storm. At this class level, he made up 10 lengths in his recent Yonkers effort, using a strong closing move to finish second at 13-1.
In the outmost post, #8 Keystone Phoenix should leave quickly and get a good spot to save ground and also charge late and wide, strongly.
Race 6
A lazy effort last week from #2 Mykindachip was mostly due to an uncommonly slow start in a higher class. He is more likely to try a dominating role here, dropping in class and starting from a better post.
When he starts this close to the rail, #4 Mach It So, shows his inherent speed on any sized track. He will be prominent from start to finish here.
Meanwhile, starting from any position, #6 Twin B Tuffenuff can grind his way into a second half threat at classy levels.
