Breeders Cup: 2019 Santa Anita, 2020 Keeneland, and 2021 Del Mar
The Breeders' Cup set the sites for the next three years. Santa Anita has hosted the Breeders' Cup nine previous times. In 2019, Santa Anita hosts for the tenth time. Keeneland got the chance to host the Breeders' Cup in 2015 when American Pharoah dominated the Classic. The number one ranked track in the United States hosts the BC in 2020.

If you've never attended a Breeders' Cup at Santa Anita, you must try. Santa Anita's got it down. They know what to do to keep racing fans and non-racing fans interested in the biggest two-day racing festival in the world.
We didn't attend the 2015 Breeders' Cup, but I have bet on races at the #1 ranked track in the United States. Those who claim that it's the most beautiful track they've ever visited aren't wrong. Up until playing races at Keeneland, my idea of what constituted beauty was the pond at old Hollywood Park.
I'm not as happy about the BC going to Keeneland as I am about it going to Santa Anita. But, that's because I most likely won't make the trip. If you can get to the Bluegrass State for the 2020 Breeders' Cup, do it!
I'm not sure it's possible to say anything bad about Bing's hangout. Del Mar remains one of the most beautiful racetracks I've ever attended. The racing is off the charts while the top trainers, horses, and jockeys on the west coast attend the meet. What's also great is that while Trevor Denman doesn't call races at Santa Anita anymore, he calls races at Del Mar's Summer Meet.
One of my greatest horseplayer joys is hearing Trevor Denman call races live. The 2018 Breeders' Cup at Churchill Downs is only a couple of months away. It's never too early to plan for the future, though. Prepare to make trips to Santa Anita, Keeneland, and Del Mar.

2019 Santa Anita Park
Since 2003, my brother, my bud Kent, and I have attended every Breeders' Cup at the Great Race Place. That includes 2016 when Arrogate nudged out California Chrome for the Breeders' Cup Classic Championship. The day before, Gary Stevens got Beholder's nose down on the wire ahead of Songbird. 2021 Del Mar Racetrack
