2024 Breeders' Cup Special Daily Doubles & Special Pick'n' Betting Guide
What is a Daily Double?
The double, frequently referred to as the “daily double,” is a relatively simple exotic wager requiring you to pick the winners of two consecutive races. It’s common for tracks to offer “rolling doubles,” which means the double bet is available throughout the day and you can play the double on any two consecutive races — a departure from years ago when the “daily double” was only available on the first two races of the day. Click to learn more about this betting opportunity. Sports betting fans may enjoy these lucrative bets, as they are not too dissimilar from sports parlays.

Friday Race 7, Juvenile Fillies & Saturday Race 6, Distaff
#9 American Bikini (5-1) was second in her debut showing on June 15 at Kyoto, and the daughter of American Pharoah has romped home to wins in two straight races since her unveiling. I feel that she is poised for a major performance in her stateside bow. Trained by Takashi Saito, the March foal set a track record in graduating in a five-furlong heat at Kokura on July 13, and she had little trouble dispatching her male counterparts in a first run with winners at seven-eighths most recently. Read the full analysis here.
Friday Race 9, Juvenile & Saturday Race 8, Classic
When #6 Citizen Bull (10-1) debuted in a 5 1/2-furlong maiden special weight during the summer at Del Mar, trainer Bob Baffert told TwinSpires the son of Into Mischief wasn’t cranked for a peak performance. Nevertheless, Citizen Bull pressed the pace on his way to victory. Read the full analysis here.
Friday Race 10, Juvenile Turf & Saturday Race 7, Turf
After wins by favorites or co-favorites Inspiral, Master of The Seas, and Auguste Rodin, bettors who had 12-1 chance Nobals in the Turf Sprint were surely happy that he prevailed over a more heavily backed alternative, thus preventing a miserly return on the 50-cent wager. The payoff was a tidy $600.10. Read the full analysis here.
Saturday Only; Race 6, Distaff with Race 8, Classic
#2 Thorpedo Anna (4-5) will attempt to put a bow on her sensational 2024 for conditioner Kenny McPeek. The soon-to-be champion is 5-for-6 this campaign, with her lone setback coming by a head bob in the Travers S. (G1) versus the boys, and the standout sophomore is reportedly training in fine fashion in advance of her initial try with her elders as well. Kentucky-bred daughter of Fast Anna is the clear one to beat under Brian Hernandez Jr. Read the tipsheet here.
The Breeders' Cup Special Pick 3s & Pick 4s
Pick 3s and Pick 4s are specific to Friday legs on Friday and Saturday legs on Saturday. Constructing a Pick 3 ticket should be an easy task. The wager is straightforward and simple — pick the winners of three straight races and reap a nice reward. Click to learn more in a step-by-step ticket construction guide.
Friday Only; Turf Pick 3 ($3) - Juvenile Turf Sprint, Juvenile Fillies Turf, Juvenile Turf
Two-time Group 1 heroine #1 Lake Victoria (8-5) is the one to beat for conditioner Aidan O’Brien, who won this race two years ago with Meditate. Unbeaten from four career runs to date, the Frankel filly has improved to some measure with each lifetime try to date, led by a super impressive three-length score in the Cheveley Park S. (G1) at Newmarket in her latest performance. Read the full analysis here.
Buick has guided Aomori City in three straight starts, including a win in the Vintage (G2) at Goodwood and a fourth-place finish in the Vincent O’Brien National (G1) at the Curragh. His win at Goodwood is notable because the course features a meaningful turn (whereas many juvenile races in Europe take place over straight courses), and two of Appleby’s three Juvenile Turf winners raced around the turn at Goodwood prior to the Breeders’ Cup. Read the full analysis here.
Saturday Only; All Turf Pick 4 - Turf Sprint, Turf, Filly & Mare Turf, Mile
#8 More Than Looks (20-1) could have a tough time catching the formidable European raiders in the Mile, but he was beaten only two lengths when sixth in this race last year and has clearly improved in 2024. Read the full analysis here.
The Breeders’ Cup is one of the year’s most anticipated events, with its seven turf races offering thrills for fans and challenges for bettors looking to score on these championship days. Its seven turf races feature the sport’s top horses, with America’s best sharing the track with international stars. Learn these five trends here.
Saturday Only; All Dirt Pick 4 - Distaff, Classic, Sprint, Dirt Mile
Four weeks after the Whitney, Arthur’s Ride regressed in the Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1) at Saratoga, fading to finish fifth as the favorite. But that wasn’t the first time Arthur’s Ride has unexpectedly misfired — during the spring, he finished ninth as the favorite in a Churchill Downs allowance. Read the full analysis here.
