Off 10 weeks, he resurfaces in a logical spot off a series of forward works, and apprentice Declan Carroll is arguably the hottest rider in the room. Race 5 – TRES EQUIS (#5) (6-1) He’s chased the win machine Pat Daddy around in four of his last five starts, and with that guy out of this equation, his chances automatically improve. He’s winless from eight starts this year, but is arguably in the best form of his career. He should punch home best of all this time around. Use in multi-race wagers. Win & triple the place bet. The Ellis Park mile isn’t perfect for her, but she is as good as any here. Finished a distant second last out at this level, but the winner Gold Standard might be stakes caliber. Interesting to note that Tyler Baze, Steve Asmussen’s first-call rider locally, lands on his other runner Perfect Reins (#6) (5-2). That should only inflate our price. Use in multi-race wagers. Ran a respectable race when trying two turns and turf for the first time last out. Cuts back for this and should sit a sweet, stalking trip behind an expected hot pace.
