Feature Races at 550, 660 & 770
Another great weekend of racing ahead of us here at bestbet Jacksonville where we get top grade events over 550, 660 and 770 yards. Don’t forget we have special promotions running on Friday and Saturday in our Greyhound Summer, and the first round of the Battle of the Sexes starts on Monday. Let’s take a closer look at the races and see if we can get you cashing some tickets this weekend at bestbet Jacksonville.
Friday evening –
Race 7 – Tough to pick against the only solid grade A runner, and back to back winner, Lorine Of Ruckus. Breaking and rushing well, she should be clear of the reset early on as she proves determined for the hat trick. Prompting the pace late will be the fast closing threat Pitch Perfect. Keep an eye out for the fantastic upstart Locokristoff. What he lacks in experience he makes up for with pure talent. Hard to ignore that 30.39 clocking, and it came from the 5 box as well. Also posted well and could threaten is the recent winner Atascocita Danty. (6-3-5-2)
Race 10 – Another greyhound on a roll that could likely continue the streak in this race. Watch Me has been tearing up the racetrack on the front end winning 3 straight, and 4 of his last 6 efforts. He has a better post tonight and should be able to hold them all off again for yet another win. Pushing the leader throughout should be the rising star Ww Mind At Rest, who has 4 quinielas in a row, the cagey stakes veteran Pullanallnighter, and the well posted always around the early lead runner Gs Viola. (2-5-3-1)
Saturday matinee –
Race 7 – After running against the best at the racetrack, normal races seem easier. That’s what Ww Rowdy should be thinking here. He was the early leader in the puppy stakes and finished 4th by just a couple of lengths at the wire. Here against a field of several risers, he should be the one to beat. Trying to ruin his plans will be the always threatening presence of Nomistakeaboutit, along with the well posted recent winner Dutch Doreen, and the greyhound that seems to find the money no matter the post factor Nini’s Triple J. (4-5-3-1)
Race 11 – This might just be the toughest race of the weekend to pick. Several greyhounds are streaking, so picking just who is going to win might be a task, but if you box them, well. You must be committed, so I Will BE and pick Be Limitless. With back to back wins in grade A and 3 in her last 6 starts, she is the one to deny on this occasion. With or without the lead she can get it done, and will again here. She will not be alone though. Nacho’s Newfie has also won 3 of her last 5 trips and has been around the front in all those efforts. He draws a great box here and could decide to win again. Bambi Brake also could take home the top spot. The runner up in the recent puppy stakes, and a greyhound that has not missed the money in 6 straight, she has the chops to get it done, the only drawback is the post. Puppy power can’t be ignored either. BGR Spielberg might be new to A, but the talent is there. He could be upset minded in this effort if he clears early. (1-3-5-4)
Saturday evening –
Race 7 – Someone must break in this race and get to the early lead, but I think the real race will come in the stretch as the closers are going to be the ones that will be taking home the top prize at the wire. Another outside post and another big late effort from She Aint In It. Winning 3 of 6, all front outside, she will find a way to get up in time once again here. Threatening throughout will be the veteran stakes presence Sheezsohot. Enough early to be dangerous and enough late to steal one here and there, she will factor for the W again tonight. Setting the pace should be the rising threat Rams Twinkle, and if she can get some help behind, she might just run off too far for them to reel her in late. And don’t forget about Got It Good either. This puppy stakes finalist belongs in the conversation and is overdue for the top spot. (8-7-1-6)
Race 11 – Over to 660 for this one, and your best guess is as good as mine! LOL! Big impactful greyhound in this race and several of them have a chance to take home the top spot at the wire. Mr Tito is my pick. Coming back to 660 in his last effort he bombed to the lead and left the field in his dust. Not only did he go uncontested in that effort, he posted up at clocking of 37.11. WOW! 1 box here, needs to get midtrack, but late gears get it done. After a couple of rough outs, Boc’s Sydney looks to get back breaking and winning in this effort. The 5 spot, not so back, and if she clears, Watchout! Dutch Casey is coming off a couple of good efforts as he moved back to 660 after exiting the puppy stakes. The post is close, look for him to coming on strong late. Let’s not forget about Ww Great Wall either. This greyhound is a solid grade A performer at 660, who has been in the money in 5 of 6 races. Overdue now, she could surprise tonight.
Race 15 – Moving over even further, we get a TA 770 race to cap off the evening races. No doubt about who we take here. Regardless of the lines, we have the track record holder that this distance, Herstal, in the mix and that is enough for me. Running well as of late, with 6 straight in the money finishes, she is on top of her game and the last 770 she ran in, she WON! Look for more of the same from off the pace again tonight. Some greyhounds are just made for this and Fiesta Bonker is one! Never gets going until late over any distance. Should clear and contend here at his best distance. Pat C Galaxy was the final one winner for the 770 stakes recently and will gladly move back even further after the puppy rounds. Don’t overlook Jack’s Jet Speed either. If she can get from early from the rail, she too can contend over this route. (4-8-5-1)
Sunday matinee –
Race 11 – Another tough race, but there seems to be a few stick outs. It all depends on who wants to run today. Ship in Durable Duke has won back to back races and should flourish again from the outside post position. From the lead, or from off the pace, Duke gets home a winner. Pushing the early lead will most likely be Gs Mad Mudder. A winner of 3 in 6 races, he has been hot, but his early foot leads to him getting caught late on occasion. Today is another occasion. Lk’s Freestar is getting the mojo back with a win last time out and 4 of the last 5 starts in the trifecta. This closer will threaten late, and watch out for the veteran. Boc’s Andross has been off awhile, so rested, schooled, ready to go? If she snaps, she will dominate this field, especially from the 2 box. (8-5-3-2)
