Free picks for Oaklawn Park's Nodouble Breeders' S. on Saturday

Saturday’s feature at Oaklawn Park is the Nodouble Breeders’ Stakes, a 6-furlong race for Arkansas-bred colts and geldings ages 3 and older. It is named for the winner of the 1968 Arkansas Derby, 1969 Santa Anita H., and 1970 Metropolitan H.

Here are three sprinters to consider for your exotic wagers.

#2 Heritage Park (6-1)

The 4-year-old’s speed doesn’t rate as highly as others in the field, but Heritage Park is coming off two victories, with a combined margin of 7 1/2 lengths, so the gelding is a price to consider, even though he is moving up in class.

#3 K J’s Nobility (5-2)

Although betting the jockey/trainer combo of the brothers Borel may not inspire the confidence, they are on a hot streak, and K J’s Nobility is a favorite worth playing.

With a two-length win in his last start, the 6-year-old’s speed figures and his latest workout indicate he can take the race he finished fourth in last year, won by #6 Hoonani Road, who hasn’t found the winner’s circle this year. Since last year’s running of the Nodouble, K J's Nobility has finished in the money in seven consecutive starts.

#7 Destiny Way (6-1)

He has the least amount of experience in the field. But with two wins from three starts, a recent bullet work, and jockey Joe Talamo (who has done remarkably well since he moved his tack from Southern California) in the irons, Destiny Way should not be overlooked.

His wins come from off tracks, so if the forecast delivers the rain promised, bet him to win.
