Future Hall of Famer Gio Ponti -- surely he'll get in as a triple Eclipse Award winner with a bankroll in excess of $6 million -- might have sired a pretty good one in his very first crop.

Debutante Most Inspiring became her sire's first North American winner on Friday, not in the ho-hum, check-the-box manner that can occur in these cases, but in some style at a major venue. The Daniel Vella trainee looked a class apart when storming clear in the 5TH race at Woodbine:
