MOHAWK MILES

Each week we highlight probable long shots from Mohawk Park in this features section. If they do not win at first crack we add them to the H2W the following week as a bet-back while adding new possibilities to this Mohawk Miles section.

Race 2 — #3 Furiosa (3-1): One strong stretch run for third at 8-1 to his credit.
Race 4 — #2 Cutting Class (8-1): Strong, impressive close promises better performance.
Race 11 — #9 Jitterbug Flip (7-2): Off a win, dangerous here.

FEATURES

Rosecroft, Race 7

#2 Maurice (5-2) enjoyed an easy trip last month and was well supported at 4-1, taking the show spot. This week his morning line may be worth face value but he may not be the favorite. Exotic partners should pay well with #3 Beachhead (8-1) and #6 La Savane (8-1).

FEATURES

Yonkers, Race 6

In a perfect spot after a month off, #2 Morning Has Broken (5-2) returns to action for Jared Bako after cashing to show from post 7 at Yonkers off at 31-1. A cool half-mile campaigner, she should be a smart addition to single-race exotics.
In league with her for exotics is Saratoga shipper #7 Newsy N (20-1). She was second at 6-1 and drops from the class structure up north to fit well in this conditioner.

POWER PLAYS

Meadowlands, Race 2

It is rare for us to endorse a selected-feature choice two times in a row but #6 Bionic won for us impressively last week at Dover and we are backing him again as he ships to New Jersey for this race. Trainer Crissy Crissman-Bier also sends #7 Sharky Bear here and could help a strong exacta and trifecta price along with #4 I'm J Bee N.
