Harness Preview: Picks and Horses to Watch June 1-5
Selected features, stakes coverage and the never-ending TwinSpires’ horses-to-watch list (H2W) share keys to success in exotics, win, place and show payoffs.
June 1
MOHAWK MILES
Each week, we highlight probable longshots from Mohawk Park (WoMo) in this features section. If they do not win at first crack, we add them to the H2W the following week as a bet-back while adding new possibilities to this Mohawk Miles section.
Race 3—Sweet Carrie; Better post, better mile, same price (91-1)?
Race 4—Sports Duchess; Easy win in London mile, hot now.
Race 8—Sister Twister; Beaten favorite rebounds from tough trip.
POWER PLAYS
Hoosier
Here are our contenders to help exotic payoffs when building a multi-race exotic ticket and single-race bets, including win, place and show and a personal win parlay combo as you see fit.
Race 2
Henry Graber Jr. stock has been cashing well, and in this conditioned affair he sends Dixie Dream, a well-bred filly that has shown spark even with facing better after a win. Also with promise is Maybemabel, rightfully stepping up after trouncing a field from the 10 hole.
Race 12
Graber places Super Queen down to where she was a solid competitor and well supported as she improved from her miserable Miami Valley campaign. Zappa’s promise shown May 20 cannot be denied here, where a better trip will get him on the board in the end.

NJSS FINALS
Meadowlands
Race 7
The soph-trot colts spar for the best share of the six-digit purse. Though Marcus Melander has a trio going in the field of 10, the prowess of Air Power cannot be denied. The Muscle Hill colt is two-win perfect. Upset-minded and likely to be dismissed by bettors, Ari Ferrari J should put in a demanding mile.
Race 9
The soph-trot fillies spar for the best share of their six-digit purse. We embrace the outsider, I’m Amused. She’s the only Muscle Hill gal and has earned well with only one win in six starts. Back a good surprise with better chances than the betting odds.

GRAND CIRCUIT
Mohawk
Three Graduate divisions for four-year-old trotters and pacers offer $66-$99k.
Race 2—Jiggy Jog S is sharp for season’s debut; Slay is out to get him.
Race 6—Captain Cowboy has matured and Ron Burke sends him now.
Race 8—Pleaseletmeknow is from a hot barn; Dancin Sancho should improve.
Three Somebeachsomewhere divisions for soph-colt pacers are $75k each.
Race 3—Fulton beat better at Pocono and should stay in charge of the mile.
Race 7—Ants Marching gets better with each mile.
Race 9—Stockade Seelster just lost, but a repeat of that mile alone can conquer this crew.
