MOHAWK MILES

Each week we highlight probable long shots from Mohawk Park in this features section. If they do not win at first crack we add them to the H2W the following week as a bet-back while adding new possibilities to this Mohawk Miles section.

Race 2 — #3 Its A Long Story (8-1): Won at Flamboro, ready to take on better.
Race 5 — #4 Larry Is Debs Rock (7-2): Impressive trip at 13-1 in last at Western Fair.
Race 7 — #6 Reys N A Rocket (3-1): May be a big favorite worthy of the odds.

POWER PLAYS

Monticello, Races 3, 4

Here we take on the single- and multi-race exotics (Win Parlay, too) along with win, place and show possibilities.

Race 3 — #5 Esai Hanover (5-2) comes off a win and makes it into these conditions, a plus for his chances if not for his projected price.
Race 4 — #1 Haymitch (7-2) steps up a tad after eating real estate late to be third.

FEATURES

Yonkers, Race 7

Beaten favorite #6 Pedro Hanover (3-1) raced adrift as speed got the best start and forced him to wait for a path that did not present itself. He may offer a better price racing a better mile. Outsider #1 Better Up (9-2) could be the exotic element to push combo tickets to high return territory.

An attack on the 50-cent Pick 4 is at hand. When you build your ticket, treat our contenders with great regard.

#3 Lexus Kody: Good win, could repeat and pay as good or better.
#1 Flip The Switch: Beaten at Yonkers, expect big improvement here.

Race 7
#6 Ladyford Dollar GB: British invader likes the U.S. dirt.

Race 8
#7 Ohoka Chopper N: Well-supported at 3-1, caught in heavy traffic too late.

Race 9
#2 Shadow Cat: Our winner last week at 7-1 rode the wave, fired late.
#6 Shine A Light: A wire-to-wire score at 4-1, underrated by the crowd.
