MOHAWK MILES
Each week we highlight probable long shots from Mohawk Park in this features section. If they do not win at first crack we add them to the H2W the following week as a bet-back while adding new possibilities to this Mohawk Miles section.
Race 1 — #9 Horn Player (8-1): Qualified well for this.
Race 6 — #8 Electro Long Legs (4-1): Bet-back conditions right.
Race 7 — #1 Moneyworth (10-1): Winner from Northfield Park goes way north for a spin.
FEATURES
Yonkers, Race 7
#1 Major Battle (2-1) was the second choice last week and made two moves to pick up the last check. Returning here, the “Battle” may be with #7 Trizzle Trazzle (12-1), also coming from a race as the second choice but in a step below Battle’s mile. Maybe their change in posts, the former for the better and the latter for the worse, will play into a close meet at the wire.

MATCHMAKER SERIES
Yonkers - Leg 2; $40k
Race 2
Six pacing mares are on board for this division but a price may make your best win bet with #1 Lydeo (6-1). A roaring longshot in leg 1, Lydeo raced to fifth in a field off eight. Having three seconds so far as the second highest earner in this bunch, she won’t offer the 81-1 she did last week but in this sextet she will still be a bargain.
Race 4
Another six-mare bunch go here and our value choice is last week’s 61-1 shot #2 Commander Cathy N (8-1). It’s early in the series and the short fields are worthy of some unexpected outside contenders, so Scott Di Domenico’s mare, who hit the board five of seven starts, is in the sure-shot starting post 2 behind the season’s debuting #1 Sweet Treasure (7-2), bound to hit the top early.
Race 6
Six more line up in division three and it looks like a good price will be carried by #1 Racine Bell (7-5) (see below) from post 1. If the crowd digs on the gals in post 2 and 3 and even 6, it could help Racine Bell deliver a good price.
Race 8
Seven compete in the last division of the week and we’re punching in another outsider, who was on the H2W list last week—#6 Annerie N (20-1). She could hit the board late and is a prime exacta product to complete the combo if she does not win.
Favorite Drama Act stole the show, earning her third straight victory, in the first division of the @BlueChipGuru Matchmaker Pacing Series!

BORGATA PACING SERIES
Yonkers - Leg 2; $50k
Race 3
Seven older pacing horses go in this division. #4 None Bettor A returns to start his season in a good spot, post 4. Trainer Travis Alexander had enough confidence in his pacer to begin in this series; good enough for us against the obvious.
Race 5
The eight stalwarts here each have reasons to back but we like the rail and #1 Semi Tough, who was short last week but needed that race and should fire big here.
Race 7
Last season we loved #3 Leonidas A and this year he smothered his division in the first leg and again shows the potential to go all the way in this series. Of course, #5 Idealsomemagic A is the main threat.
Race 9
#8 Covered Bridge from the outside post should include strong value, having a great chance to overcome the crowd-cursed post. Last week at 31-1 from post 7 he made two moves to finish third. One of them, with early speed, is the type to get a good spot—if not the top spot—and command this pace. Longshot alert.
Leonidas A made it three in a row with a victory in the third division of the Borgata Pacing Series

Horses to Watch
H2W Legend
Review our choices and confirm the wagers available at the prescribed track. H2W offers possible contenders researched from reviewing races. Horses’ names are listed beneath the name of the track with the date of their race and the race number (R6) follows. If a + is in front of a horse’s name, it appears on the list for the second time (horses are listed twice only if, at first, they failed to win. An “ae” signals also-eligible. Types of wagers to make are based on your judgment.
