Selected features, stakes coverage and the never-ending TwinSpires’ horses-to-watch list (H2W) share keys to success in exotics, win, place and show payoffs.

MOHAWK MILES

Each week, we highlight probable longshots from Mohawk Park (WoMo) in this features section. If they do not win at first crack, we add them to the H2W the following week as a bet-back while adding new possibilities to this Mohawk Miles section.

Race 2—Thundering Jim; One more chance to revolt as planned.
Race 6—My One Percent; Should live up to strong qualifier prep.
Race 8—The Ideal Huntress; Strong favorite caught late, rebound expected.
Race 10—Sauble Amber; Well-backed but raced late from a slow start.

POWER PLAYS

Hoosier / Races 11, 12, 13, 14

This is the final week of the plan:
Hit the late Pick-4 at Hoosier Park on Thursday and split the $1,000 daily jackpot.
Here are our contenders for the Pick 4. We feel they help exotic payoffs so consider them when building a Pick-4 ticket, as well as for single-race bets.

Race 11

Bryce’s Lady has been hitting the board with competitive ease and Bettor Lady returns to this Pick 4 after having good support last week to finish fourth.

Race 12

Theresnotouchingme is fresh to racing and not a proven loser. Rockinforreal must overcome the outside with a crafty weaving trip.

Race 13

Juxta Cowgirl is a beaten favorite and returns from last week’s P-4 contenders deserving another shot... Morning Sunrise was bet well enough but was short late and is a good addition to any ticket.

Race 14

Somebeachsomeday was hammered late after leaving well, and the drop in class could give him the extra steps he needs to go the mile gate to wire. Dance Monkey can compromise the front-keeping efforts and Big Chief Arrow can close on any duels ensuing through the half.

CAMLUCK CLASSIC

Western Fair

Some of the top Borgata older pacers shipped north to the half-mile Raceway at Western Fair in Ontario for the track’s premier event. Eight in all, we will be supporting Covered Bridge. We caught him in the Borgata as he found his best stride in the series and did not let up. He should offer a good price leaving from post 4. Also, Funatthebeach will do far better from post 8 here than expected, most likely appearing with a late soaring pace to hit the board.

FEATURES

Pocono

Race 7

From this class last week at Philly, Lyons Johnnyjnr was the clear third choice of the public and raced evenly in a crowded half while the top two favorites struggled to earn their odds. Off of a win, Territory took advantage of a bumbled first half to get the lead and won as the soft favorite.
