MOHAWK MILES
Each Thursday we are highlighting races featuring probable long shots at the Canadian harness meet. All horses that do not win at first crack appear the following week in the H2W as bet-backs or in selected features, adding new possibilities to this section.
R5 — #10 Getitgetitgotit (10-1): Barn’s cooking, post should not matter.
R6 — #5 JK Miki Mantle (3-1): Well supported, two moves to finish fourth.
R8 — #6 The Will To Play (5-1): Tough trip, broken equipment, still fourth.
R9 — #5 Thankyaverymuch (5-2): Good last out at Rideau Carleton.

THANKS
Hoosier Park
A local event for sophomores, The Thanksgiving Classic ($53k+) presents fields for all four divisions.
Race 5 (3yo filly pace)
We’ll return to the strength of #6 Patsville (5-2) after last week’s finish second. The Huntsville filly is a sound across-the-board investment and here she may go off better than last week.
Race 7 (3yo colt trot)
Again, we back a bet-back, this time #1 Caviar Gold (3-1), whose place setting puts him into position to finish the obvious fans’ choice.
Race 12 (3yo filly trot)
A fine short rest off of a mighty troubled trip, #6 Swan Trixie (8-1) could return with a far better mile and still offer around the 20-1 market value and deliver big for backers.
Race 13 (3yo colt pace)
Racing Hill is an underrated sire, as expressed by son #6 Taurasi (3-1). This guy likes to win in the style of his sire and almost did last out. Were it not for a wide start he surely could have beaten the big favorite. He does not have to start that way from post 6 and that means he’s the best bet for price and purpose.

FOURTH WALL
Meadowlands
Here are the Final Four stakes of the season and final frosh miles for the divisions.
Race 4, Goldsmith Maid ($475k)
#3 Heart On Fire (5-1) could show off what she will contribute as a sophomore in this 10-horse charge.
Race 5, Valley Victory ($416k)
This is a good spot to back #1 Southwind Admiral (10-1), as he could let the speed of the outside fan choices burn out and deliver a cool price.
Race 7, Three Diamonds ($428k)
We’ll take a bet-back with #3 Strong Poison (7-2), now on the inside and able to stretch her speed or save it until the last moments.
Race 11, Governors Cup ($430k)
#2 Can’t Stop Lou (5-1) is every bit as good as these and can look forward to a soph season with a big bag of money by beating the majority of bettors backing the obvious.
Horses to Watch
H2W Legend
Review our choices and confirm the wagers available at the prescribed track. H2W offers possible contenders researched from reviewing races. Horses’ names are listed beneath the name of the track with the date of their race and the race number (R6) follows. If a + is in front of a horse’s name, it appears on the list for the second time (horses are listed twice only if, at first, they failed to win. An “ae” signals also-eligible. Types of wagers to make are based on your judgment.
