Each week, we highlight probable long shots from Mohawk Park (WoMo) in this features section. If they do not win at first crack, we add them to the H2W the following week as a bet-back while adding new possibilities to this Mohawk Miles section.

Race 3 (2fT)— Smashin’classy leaves from the outside, which should heighten her odds against the top two contenders, and that value is a reason to back her.

Race 4 (2cT)—Sonofaseecook hit the board six of seven times, and by those numbers, should be the best bet here if you do not go by raw speed numbers.

Race 5 (3fT)—Krystals Jewel stands out and may offer a better price than expected since she leaves from the 8 hole. Her speed could overcome any negative imagined.

Race 6 (3cT)—Smash The Rail, another Smashed-sired product, should race his fastest frosh mile here against his main rivals.

JERSEY’S BEST

Meadowlands

Six-figure state-bred Classics are featured in our finals’ choices.

Race 6 (2cp)—Caviart Justice is sharp now and should overcome the 9 hole to hit the board with value for any wager.

Race 10 (2cT)—Mr Grant is DR Ackerman’s hottest trotter in a decade and can win off of the elimination win while sizzling.

Race 11 (3cT)—Air Power has found his best stride and is in tune to win this classic.

Race 12 (2fP)—Rocket Deo is back for the big bucks with a good shot to get the lion’s share.

New York Sires Stakes race for champ titles with six-figure miles. Here are our contenders for the specific divisions we feel worthy of wagers.

Horses to watch (H2W) are strong contenders evaluated from overnight race charts (including qualifiers), replays, and trainers’ current win percentages. Each horse appears in two consecutive lists if it does not win on its first listing.

H2W horses are suggested for win, place, show (across the board) wagering, and to be included in exotic combinations.

Exactas listed in H2W results reflect an H2W horse finishing second to a race favorite or if the first two finishers were on the list when an asterisk appears for cold exactas. The note “ok” determines prices are correct when a show price exceeds the place price or all three prices are identical.
