Harness racing: Dover Downs Pick 3 promises a strong price

Race 3

Our strongest choice to use here is #9 Workin Them Angels. He is a speedy guy, who can get off the gate quickly and use that speed to get to the front and control the fractions. Trainer Chuck Crissman Jr. always sends strong contenders.

Two tough trips have hurt the chances for #6 Art Of Fire, so he is a strong contender if he can get a smoother path.

Race 4

Coming from some classy events at Dover, #5 Riddle Me This dueled for the lead early and tired in the stretch last time out. His early speed could get him in a great spot, which will give him an edge, if he races without strong challenges.

After he shipped from New Jersey to Delaware, #1 Keystone Thunder will take on some weaker types for a second time at Dover and can take the field gate to wire.

Race 5

A new trainer has taken over for #4 B’s Yankee, after he claimed the pacer in a recent race at Dover. Trainer Kevin Lare will have this one winging from the start to take advantage of the new purchase.

Off of a win, after a drop from a higher claiming price, #3 Closing Bell is off to a good start in 2021 and could be a threat to make it two in a row.

A possible upset might be in play from #2 Ruffy’s Desire. He shipped in from Northfield and has two recent races that make him a threat.
