(Each week, Cotolo employs money-management tactics to build wagers that focus on plump profits.)

For the program on Oct. 27 at Hoosier Park, we suggest some horses for selected plays that may fit in any type of wager.

Race 3

A strenuous start last week slowed down #8 Vel Larry, who is still looking for his first win in 17 starts. One good start can break that sad streak, and he will offer a good price here.

Also on the skids, #10 Sullenberger is another one of the Illinois shippers (from the Leonard barn) that can make noise pay well just when you think they are out of it.

Race 6

A good showing at Hoosier after going well at the fairs, #7 Mystical Image showed off hitting the board at 44-1 and is raring to take the track again.

Toss out the last effort for #10 Marlas Got Legs since she did not care for post 10. However, this is the second time she races at Hoosier and considering she's hit the board in nine-of-17 appearances this season, she cannot be dismissed in this group.

Race 8

Again from the outside comes a contender overlooked by the morning line (ML) oddsmaker, #8 Woodside Emileah. Dropping into this level, the Guccio sophomore has been hitting the board with gusto, certainly by comparison to this field.

Plagued by breaks, #6 Katie Doodle Dandy on stride is a good trotter that makes money, as does her main connection, Lewayne Miller.

Race 11

A two-time beaten favorite, at Hoosier and Tioga, #2 Another Beach Day is a rare daughter of Somebeachsomewhere to charge in the Midwest. Her first visit here two weeks back was a fine arrival, and she's eligible to whup these rivals.

Stepping back to this class, #3 Debt Motivated is another contender from the Leonard crew that bears attention.

Race 13

A well-bred Triumphant Caviar filly, #4 Sweet Emma just broke her maiden at Dayton and faces a group that may be a notch below her or equal at the least. She comes to Indiana with a plan to win for Larry Finn, who measures class well.

Again, do not ignore the Leonards. This time, it’s #1 Fox Valley Britzka who is mixing it up at her new home track, and cashing checks at a good clip.
