(Each week, Cotolo employs money-management tactics to build wagers that focus on plump profits.)

For the program on Oct. 6 at Hoosier Park, we suggest some horses for selected plays that may fit in any type of wager.

Race 2

Bet-back action is noted for #2 Meadowbrook Nola and #7 Georgias Passion. The former is a Morning Line (ML) favorite and the latter at 15-1. We enjoy them for exotic tickets but urge to support #1 Atomic Blonde above all. Joe Putnam’s filly had a tough start last week in a state-bred final and broke the time before that and now has the rail to ride and show her inherent speed.

Race 5

Near spotless success collecting checks in a dozen races in fair competition and two weeks ago at Hoosier, #8 Jet Wills seeks win three here against less consistent types.

A winner at a higher level in August, #2 Vel Scotty Boy gained late last time and two back took the overland route after a heated start. She could get a terrific trip from post 2 at a hot price.

Race 7

Looking for an outsider to win and cause an exotic-price explosion? Then take into consideration Jeff Cullipher’s Tug And Coop. Taking a significant drop, the Dover Dan colt flew early on Sept. 15 and was caught by classier contestants. It was the second-straight time he was off quickly and suffered from others going with him. His other races were ruined by gallops while in strong contention. Callipher, who has blossomed as a trainer against the tough teachers in the east, may have found the perfect spot to get this one on the road to making some major money.

Don’t count out 15-1 ML #7 Piningforgold. Consistency is his weapon and Lewayne Miller is his trainer/driver and four of six times this Muscle Massive colt has been the penultimate finisher.

Race 10

Last week #3 Kaboomski was ignored at 7-1 and heading for a possible win when he galloped home in the stretch. Why his morning line in 15-1 is a mystery but let that measure lead bettors astray and us to victory.

Of course #7 Ponda Adventure will suck up the bucks for top trainer Erv Miller and the Swan For All colt will try to win his eighth of nine, sending pennies into the bankroll of his investors.

Race 11

Lewayne Miller has to feel confident in this Indiana Sires Stakes leg as #4 Super Queen returns after a super trip, finishing fourth at 89-1 after a wild start three wide and hustling close to the three finishers around her.

Also out of most bettors’ view is #1 Macy, the James Yoder-trained Muscle Massive filly that broke last time but has been a strong contender before that, losing only by galloping.
