Since opening on Sep. 10, 2006, Harrah’s Philadelphia – formerly known as Chester Downs – has been a fixture on the Pennsylvania harness racing circuit and home for top drivers and top trainers. In its first two seasons, Harrah’s Philadelphia hosted a bevy of major open stakes, but it has since parted with most of them and focused primarily on Pennsylvania Sire Stakes and Pennsylvania Stallion Series events and overnight races.
