About Rosecroft Raceway



When it opened in 1949, initially as a one-half mile oval, Rosecroft played host to many of the sports best three-year-old pacers courtesy of the William E. Miller Memorial, named for the track’s founder. It also offered a solid corps of overnight races including a weekly Preferred in the 1980’s that featured  local talents Funnyman’s Lashout, Texas Tea and local legend, Come On Fred. The track no longer offers open stakes, but it will have a blend of Maryland Sire Stakes and Maryland Standardbred Race Fund events this fall.
