Race 8

Trainer Gonzalez wins with 20% of runners in claiming events and saddles #8 Magnanimus Man (9-2), who stretches out in distance off a third-place finish facing better last month. Gelding has a record of 8-2-2-1 at this trip and Gonzalez wins with 13% going from a sprint to a route. Chestnut can be on or near the lead from the start under Olesiak, who is winning with at 21% for the barn the last two months.

Tampa

Race 1

#6 Segismundo (5-2) drops in class and switches to the main track off a narrow loss over a mile on grass here last month. Son of Afleet Alex has won two of three previous starts on this main track and trainer Avila has won with 16% of his runners at this meet. Dark bay can be in good position throughout with Centeno retaining the mount.

Race 3

Fillies going 6-furlongs include #3 Diamond News (5-1), who drops in class off a weakening third place finish as the favorite here last month. Gray has a record of 5-1-1-3 on this oval and trainer Bennett wins with 22% that were beaten as the favorite last time out and with 22% of his claimers. Daughter of You Luckie Man can be tough at this level with Camacho remaining aboard.

Race 6

Trainer Nations wins with 12% of runners that have not raced for 46-90 days and saddles #5 Monkey Mind (3-1), who has not been seen since fading to finish fifth in a starter allowance over the course and distance in January. 5-year-old has won on the course and with tactical speed, she can establish a good early position with Mena in the saddle.

Race 8

Several well-bred maidens go a mile with #10 Screen Image (10-1) making her second start for trainer Sweezey. Daughter of Giant’s Causeway likely needed her latest when outrun through fast early fractions last month being her first outing after a long break and Sweezey wins with at 16% in the second start off a layoff. 5-year-old holds an age advantage over many in here and should show more with Garcia retaining the mount.

Will Rogers

Race 2

Newcomer #7 Acertive Miss (5-1) has an excellent win early pedigree being by 16% debut sire Successful Appeal and out of a mare by Yes It’s True (14%). Works include a solid 4-furlongs in :48 3/5 from the gate last month for trainer Garrison, who won with his last first-time starter. Bay appears ready to go with Ramos riding.

Race 4

#7 D’ cinnamon Girl (8-1) drops in class off a never-threatening unplaced effort in her debut over the track and distance last month. Daughter of D’wildcat took some betting action last time and trainer Offolter wins with 16% of his second-time starters. Filly can be tough at this level with Ramos back in the irons.
