Holland's North America free racing picks for July 30

Saratoga

Race 9

#9 Celtic Chaos (12-1) rallied from just off the pace to win this event 12 months ago. Son of Dublin disappointed in his latest at this distance at Aqueduct, but has a record of 8-3-1-3 on this oval and has been working well for trainer Cox, who wins with 21% of his runners that have not raced for 90+ days. Chestnut can be running late under Castellano, who has won with 27% of his rides for the barn in the past two months.

Race 10

State-bred maiden claimers going 5 1/2 furlongs on grass include #8 Brickyard (12-1), who has not been seen since showing little over the course and distance facing open company in a maiden special weight event in his debut last September. Trainer Pugh won with one of his last five second-time starters and son of 12% grass sire Take Charge Indy is a half-brother to five winners on turf. Gelding has been working well and may surprise with apprentice Cardenas riding.

Delaware Park

Race 4

Mike Stidham wins with 15% of his first-time starters and saddles #8 Pago Querido (8-1), a debuting daughter of Competitive Edge, whose offspring win 17% of their first outings. $235K 2-year-old purchase is a half-sister to one winner and recent works at Keeneland include a sharp 5-furlong move in 1:00 2/5 for Stidham, who has won with 21% of his runners at this meet. Dark bay appears ready for a good first outing under Suarez, who has won with two of his last eight rides for the barn.

Belterra Park

Race 4

#5 Brunella (9-2) debuts for trainer Denzik, who won with his one starter at this meet. Denzik wins with just 5% of his first-time starters but filly has a good win-early pedigree being by Munnings and out of a mare by Medagia d’Oro. 3-year-old has been working well and meets a below average group for her debut.

Arlington Park

Race 8

Trainer Correas wins with 19% of his second time starters and adds blinkers to #11 Aimara (12-1), who showed little after a slow start in her debut at this distance at Churchill last month. Daughter of good young turf sire Karakontie meets softer company here and works include a 4-furlong move in :47 here for Correas, who wins with 14% of his runners that have not raced for 46-90 days. Improvement can be expected with Felix in the saddle.

Woodbine

Race 2

#7 Dunbow Road (6-1) may have needed her latest when flattening out to finish fourth after making an early bid for the lead over 6 furlongs last month being his first outing since September. Dark bay has won one of five career starts and trainer Rycroft wins with 26% second off a layoff and with 21% of his claimers. Daughter of Salute the Sarge can be along from just off the pace with Holland remaining aboard.
