Race 9

#3 Always Talking (5-1) was claimed by Daniel Velazquez when weakening to finish third after leading early over the track and distance in her latest last month. Velazquez wins with 25% of his runners first time off the claim, and 3-year-old has a record of 9-4-0-3 over 6 furlongs. Dark bay figures to be the one to catch with Adorno riding.

Delta Downs

Race 3

Trainer Faucheux wins with 15% of his first-time starters and saddles #5 Harriet’s Dream (4-1), a debuting daughter of Half Ours, whose offspring win 14% of their first outings. Bay is a half-sister to six winners and works include a bullet 4-furlong move in :47 4/5 from the gate at Fair Grounds for Faucheux, who has won with 21% of his runners this year. Filly can win at first asking with Saenz in the saddle.

Remington Park

Race 7

#4 Shifty Henry (5-2) weakened late when second after vying for the lead from the start over the track and distance at this level in his latest early this month. Gray has won one of his eight starts on this oval, and trainer Gustafson has won with 30% of his runners at this meet. Gelding can be on or near the early lead under Cabrera, who has won with 38% of his rides for the barn in the past two months.

Zia Park

Race 8

Maidens going 6 furlongs include #7 Why Baby Why (8-1), who debuts for 16% first-out trainer Dallas Barton. Filly is a half-sister to six winners and has been working forwardly for Barton, who has won with three of his first 14 runners at this meet. Bay appears ready for a good first outing under Laviolette, who has won with two of his last four rides for the barn.
