Race 4
Debutant #3 Gulf Coast Gal (4-1) has a good win-early pedigree being by excellent young sire Constitution and out of a mare by Uncle Mo. Filly has been working forwardly for trainer Nicks, who wins with 16% of his first-time starters and who has won with 16% of his runners at this meet. Bay appears ready to win at first asking with Vasquez in the saddle.
Delaware
Race 3
Trainer Delacour wins with 26% of his runners that have not raced for 90+ days and saddles #3 Vi Haines (10-1), who has not raced since finishing third at Tampa in early March in her third outing. Daughter of Candy Ride is a half-sister to Lewis Bay, who finished third in the Kentucky Oaks (G1), and Delacour wins with 20% of his starters on grass. 4-year-old has been working well and can be forwardly placed under Centeno, who has won with two of his last eight rides for this stable.
Race 7
#5 Weather Wiz (8-1) has not been seen since being claimed by Jamie Ness when fourth at Gulfstream at this distance in February. Ness wins with 20% of his runners that have not raced for 90+ days and with 24% first off the claim. Son of Tiznow posted a sharp 5-furlong work in :59 1/5 last month and can be forwardly placed from the start with Centeno in the irons.

Race 7
Maidens going 6 furlongs include #2 Pharaoh’s Daughter (8-1), who lost chances with a slow start and wide trip when unplaced in his latest over the track and distance last month in her first start for trainer Servis and first outing since his debut in November. Servis wins with 18% of his runners second time off a layoff and daughter of Pioneerof the Nile is a half-sister to two winners. Filly can be tough with a better trip and Sanchez remains aboard.
Canterbury
Race 3
#2 Defend the Rose (6-1) makes her turf debut off a gate-to-wire score over 6 furlongs in the Frances Genter here two weeks ago. Dark bay should take to the surface being by First Defence and trainer Robertson wins with 18% of his runners first time on grass. Filly figures to be on or near the early lead with Chirinos riding.
Race 4
#6 Hunka Burning Love (4-1) remained unbeaten in four starts since being claimed by Karl Broberg when leading from the start to win the Lone Star Mile in his latest last month. Gelding tries turf for the first time but should be suited to the surface being by Into Mischief and Broberg has won with four of his first 10 starters this meet. 6-year-old may be tough to catch under Eikleberry, who has won with four of his last eight rides for the barn.
