Holland's North American Racing Plays for Nov. 24
Several races from Parx and one play at Mountaineer from handicapper Tim Holland on this Tuesday.
Parx Racing
Race 1
#4 Chief Reider (12-1) gets Lasix added off a fading unplaced effort after showing some early speed while wide in his debut over 5 1/2 furlongs here in early September. Trainer DeMasi wins with 16% of her second-time starters and son of Peace and Justice is a half-brother to two winners. Gelding can be near the front from the start with Rodriguez in the irons.
Race 6
Trainer Servis wins with 19% of his runners second off a layoff and saddles #6 Sunday Inn (6-1), who may have just needed her latest when weakening to finish third over 6 furlongs last month in her first outing since January. Daughter of El Padrino has won two of her four career starts and Servis has won with 26% of his runners at this meet. Chestnut can be in good position throughout with Pennington retaining the mount.
Race 9
#7 Isabella Smile (4-1) closed into solid fractions to win her latest over 6 1/2 furlongs here early this month. Filly now has a record of 13-3-3-4 on this oval and trainer Lake wins with 19% of his runners that won last time out. 4-year-old should find another decent pace to suit her closing style with Castillo in the saddle.
Mountaineer
Race 1
Maidens include #8 Zeyna (9-2), who was rushed into contention before weaking to finish a well-beaten fourth in her debut over the track and distance last month. Daughter of Uncle Mo is a half-sister to four winners and trainer Reed wins with 12% of his second-time starters. Filly can be in the early mix under Ayala, who has won with 30% of his rides for the barn in the past two months.
