#4 Tactical Pajamas (8-5) won this race in 2022 and brings solid sprint form to the field in hopes of retaining her crown for conditioner Ron Potts. The Uncle Lino mare is the pace of the race and loves the oval as a seven-time local winner. She proved last campaign of being capable of handling the distance, and the five-year-old would be no surprise, especially if she clears the cast in the opening stages of the contest.

Tim Girten’s #6 Lovely Ever After (6-1) boasts a fine turn of foot, and the consistent miss sports a solid 9-2-4-1 mark on the surface, as well. Midshipman chestnut has won or placed in four of her five career efforts at today’s distance, and the five-year-old will receive a healthy pace to run at turning for home at a fair price, too. The mare runs for a conditioner having a strong meeting and will have Scott Spieth taking the reins once again.
