How to bet the Providencia Stakes

The unbeaten #3 Medoro (6-5) was dominant in the China Doll S. on the course last time out and seems poised to register another top performance in her second start of 2024. Trained by Peter Eurton, the Honor Code three-year-old won sprinting on the green on debut before eclipsing the Blue Norther S. in her juvenile finale. 

The Kentucky-bred bay possesses a big turn of foot and she lands in a field lacking a lot of quality, in my opinion. The bay is bred for the trip, her running style suggests that she will be just fine at 1 1/8 miles, and the favorite has also been training in swift fashion as of late, as well. She is lightly raced with room for improvement, and I expect the fine prospect to once again be the one to hold off in the stretch. Regular pilot Antonio Fresu will be in the silks.

The Resolute Racing color bearer is not especially fast from the gate, but an inside post combined with a stretch out in distance could find her within striking range earlier than in her past outings. Talented turf pilot Umberto Rispoli will take the reins atop the miss and I feel that she can win at a fair price on the move to the turf. 

For the lower rungs of the verticals, recent maiden heroine #2 Circle of Trust (4-1), as well as pacesetter #4 Lamporghini (5-1), will be included.
