How to bet the Rainbow Miss Stakes

Sekani wins her Maiden - Coady Photography
A field of eight 3-year-old fillies will vie in the $100,000 Rainbow Miss S. at Oaklawn Park on Friday.
Rainbow Miss Analysis
#2 The Mary Rose is quick from the gate and will be part of the pace from the start, with #4 Lucky Every Day, #5 Choctaw Charlie, and #8 Sekani forcing the issue. I expect the early tempo to be honest at the very least.
Rainbow Miss Contenders
#1 HISSY MISSY (20-1) -- Medal Count filly cuts back following a trio of route tries in succession. Dark bay has a useful turn of foot, but she will have a lot to do turning for home in the Rainbow Miss. Birzer rides the longshot.
#2 THE MARY ROSE (3-1) -- Speedy lass missed by a nose after dueling throughout in a recent allowance tilt on the surface. One of two in the cast for VanMeter, the daughter of Macho Uno could be dangerous if she clears in the early going under Martin Garcia.
#3 JULIE ARKANSAS (20-1) -- Daughter of Jonesboro broke through with a victory over $16,000 maiden claiming foes most recently. Chestnut faces much tougher in her stakes debut, and she would be a surprise from off the pace.
#4 LUCKY EVERY DAY (15-1) -- Milligan trainee was a smart first-out graduate in November, but the chestnut has defeated five combined horses in three subsequent performances. Speedy daughter of It’smyluckyday will add to the pace with David Cohen in the controls.
#5 CHOCTAW CHARLIE (7-2) -- Obvious win contender has just missed in two special weight tries and could be the one with any improvement on Friday. Daughter of Laurie’s Rocket will always be in the mix on the positive rider change to Rosario.
#6 PROUD VICTORIA (5-2) -- Ron Moquett trainee was victorious in her first pair of assignments, prior to finishing an even fourth with stakes competition last time out. Dark bay filly exits a key race with multiple next-out winners, and she might possess the best turn of foot in the field as well. Ricardo Santana Jr. will be in the stirrups.
#7 GET ONE MORE (8-1) -- Bind filly was a winner on debut when closing from well back to defeat maiden claiming runners going a route of ground. Wildcard has trained well in the interim, and she will benefit from a likely contested and swift early pace.
#8 SEKANI (3-1) -- Top pick breaks from the outside in what looks to be a perfect draw in this sprint endeavor. VanMeter charge was fourth with allowance company last out, but she shows a trio of solid morning moves since in preparation for her first stakes offering. Double Irish filly could peak third time off the bench beneath Cannon.
