July 15th, 2020

An exciting octet of 2-year-old fillies will travel six panels on the Saratoga main strip in Thursday’s $100,000 Schuylerville Stakes (G3).

Schuylerville Analysis

The pace could be contested as #2 Hara, #3 Beautiful Memories, and #7 Dayoutoftheoffice, each led at every call in their recent tallies.

Schuylerville Contenders

#1 MAKE MISCHIEF (12-1) -- First from the Casse shedrow was impressive in her initial assignment in running down a clear leader in the stretch despite enduring traffic down the lane. $285,000 New York-bred gets a tricky draw on the fence today, but the daughter of Into Mischief drilled a 4-furlong bullet in her most recent morning move to signal that she will be ready on Thursday. John Velazquez riding adds to the appeal.

#2 HARA (10-1) -- February foal graduated in style in her second lifetime showing for Sano. Gulfstream import led throughout in a facile tally, but she faces a class rise in her Saratoga bow. Tyler Gaffalione has the call.

#3 BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES (6-5) -- Top pick was sublime on debut for Casse. Hard Spun chestnut was bet down to 2-5 and justified her price with a 10-length romp under little urging. John Oxley homebred shows two bullet works in succession and the race goes through her.

#4 QUINOA TIFAH (15-1) -- Interesting prospect was game in a professional win over the Gulfstream main strip at first go. Gemologist filly beat what could be a nice prospect in that effort, and she owns the top Brisnet Speed figure in the field, as well. Manny Franco will be up.

#5 SUNNY ISLE BEACH (15-1) -- Ward second timer was game in topping a $75,000 maiden claimer at Churchill Downs in her lone run to date. Bay by Jimmy Creed didn’t set the teletimer on fire beneath the Twin Spires, and she also faces a more demanding assignment in her first with winners. Longshot gets Irad Ortiz Jr. to take the call.

#6 QUEEN ARELLA (6-1) -- Speightster lass was sharp in a winning debut at Gulfstream when drawing away in the stretch. Rodriguez pupil was flattered when the horse she beat came back to win well, and she has top-three appeal in her graded bow with Rosario up.

#7 DAYOUTOFTHEOFFICE (15-1) -- Dark bay Into Mischief juvenile did everything right in her wire-to-wire fashion score on debut for Hamm. February foal comes in fresh with nice morning activity in the interim, and she draws well near the outside of the field, too. She will be in the mix from the break.

#8 HOPEFUL PRINCESS (2-1) -- Not This Time youngster impressed in a debut win at Churchill Downs and has been since transferred to the Asmussen barn. Kentucky-bred took a lot of money at first asking and gives the impression of a top contender from the advantageous outside post slot. Filly shows a pair of bullet morning drills on the Oklahoma training surface as of late, and she could be dangerous if she runs to her drills.
