Half Tap has put together a solid work tab in preparation for her debut, highlighted by a quick half-mile from the Turfway Park starting gate in :47 flat. As a January foal, she might have a subtle maturity advantage over her younger rivals in Sunday’s field, cementing Half Tap as the filly to beat.

For second place, we have to respect #13 Next Tuesday (2-1) if she draws in off the also-eligible list.  The daughter of Kantharos has run well on dirt and turf while posting a bevy of competitive Brisnet Speed ratings. She’s also proven over this class level, running second in a $30,000 maiden claimer at Aqueduct last month.

#2 Nebuli (8-1) and #4 Eyeofthebeholder (12-1), dropping in class from maiden special weight to maiden claiming company, are contenders worth including underneath. The unraced #10 Found My Thrill (10-1) is also eligible to factor for trainer Timothy Hamm, a respectable 15% winner with first-time starters. We’ll round out our plays with #3 Pappysaysyes (5-1) and #9 Risata (10-1).
