How to bet With, and Against, V V’s Dream, in the Rachel Alexandra Stakes
An excellent field of seven sophomore fillies will go postward in Saturday’s $300,000 Rachel Alexandra S. (G2) at Fair Grounds. The slight morning-line choice for the 1 1/16-mile event is Grade 3 heroine #6 V V’s Dream (5-2) who will make her seasonal debut in the affair.

- $2 superfecta 6 with 1,4,5,7 ($48)
V V’s Dream – Against
- $1 superfecta 1,4 with 1,4,5,6,7 with 1,4,5,6,7 with 1,4,5,6,7 ($48)
#6 V V's Dream comes from off the pace and easily takes the G3 Pocahantas S. at Churchill Downs under @b_hernandezjr for trainer @KennyMcPeek! 🏆

Trained by Kenny McPeek, the gray filly compiled a fine two-year-old campaign which included wins in the Debutante S. at Ellis Park and Pocahontas S. (G3), as well as a close second in the Alcibiades S. (G1) at Keeneland. The daughter of Mitole, who capped 2023 with a third-place result in the Rags to Riches S. at Churchill Downs, has posted five morning drills on the surface to prepare for this tough test and will be ready to fire. Regular pilot Brian Hernandez Jr. will be in the silks once again.
Conditioner Brad Cox has a trio of major players in the heat, including Godolphin homebred #1 Tarifa (5-1) who drew the inner post. The dark bay daughter of Bernardini was a sharp debut victress at Keeneland in the fall, and following a subpar allowance try, the talented lass was a game allowance winner at Fair Grounds in advance of Saturday. The contender gives the impression of a horse that will appreciate going long this campaign, and she picks up the services of Flavien Prat.
Brendan Walsh’s #4 Intricate (3-1) is 2-for-3 in her lifetime and concluded her two-year-old season with an emphatic, 5 1/4-length romp in the Golden Rod S. (G2) beneath the Twin Spires. The Gun Runner filly, who brought $280,000 at auction in 2023, owns a fine closing kick and has obvious room to improve being lightly raced. The chestnut registered a nice half-mile move on the course most recently and will be doing her best work in the lane beneath Tyler Gaffalione.
Untapable S. queen #5 Alpine Princess (7-2) and Silverbulletday S. heroine #7 West Omaha (9-2), both from the Cox shedrow, are each capable of making a major impact in the deep affair, as well.
