Parx Racing: Race 9: Unique Bella S. (seven furlongs, 4:20 p.m. ET)

#7 Disco Ebo (8-5) has been a beast at Parx this year, going 3-for-3. After winning a pair of allowance sprints with ease (earning Brisnet Speed ratings of 95 and 106), she wired the 6 1/2-furlong Penn’s Landing S. by 6 3/4 lengths, earning a 103 Brisnet Speed rating.

Those three victories came against non-state-restricted competition. Disco Ebo is facing fellow Pennsylvania-breds in the Unique Bella, and a typical performance should be sufficient to take home top honors.

#1 Morning Matcha (4-1), a route racer known for finishing second in the Cotillion (G1) and third in the Comely (G3), can claim runner-up honors while cutting back to seven furlongs for her 2023 debut. A cold $20 exacta will be our primary play, but we’ll also bet a $10 double singling Disco Ebo in the first leg.

Parx Racing: Race 10: Page McKenney H. (seven furlongs, 4:51 p.m. ET)

#3 Beren (2-1) loves Parx, compiling a 16-7-4-1 lifetime record over this track. The consistent sprinter has won seven stakes through the years and has posted triple-digit Brisnet Speed ratings in four of his last six starts, including a 104 when trouncing a 6 1/2-furlong allowance at Parx last month by 5 1/2 lengths.

All this is to say, Beren is a classy campaigner with the talent to take home first prize against fellow Pennsylvania-breds in the Page McKenney. We’ll pursue the $10 Money Back Mondays promotion with a $10 win bet on Beren, then single him to conclude our double wager.

Will Rogers Downs: Race 9: Wilma Mankiller S. (six furlongs, 6:05 p.m. ET)

#3 Ragan’s Jet (5-2) is a logical favorite after rattling off four consecutive victories, including a half-length triumph in the Miranda Diane S. over this track and distance last month.

But in the Miranda Diane, Ragan’s Jet was able to secure an uncontested lead against four rivals, and she weakened down the homestretch to win narrowly over the pace-tracking Sinnin N Grinnin and the late-running #7 Dicey (7-2). The latter gained three lengths through the final furlong to finish just one length away at the wire.

Dicey previously won a six-furlong allowance at Will Rogers Downs in her 2023 debut. And last fall, she came within a neck of catching Ragan’s Jet in the Oklahoma Classics Distaff Sprint S. at Remington Park. If Dicey gets more pace to chase in the Wilma Mankiller (and there’s certainly a fair amount of speed in this field), she can step forward and turn the tables on Ragan’s Jet.

Taking advantage of the $10 Money Back Mondays promotion, we’ll place a $10 win bet on Dicey. Then we’ll key her over Ragan’s Jet in a cold exacta.
