Keeping it simple for Oaks-Old Forester-Derby Pick 3

Perhaps one of the more overlooked wagers on Kentucky Derby weekend, the Pick 3 that links the Kentucky Oaks (G1), Old Forester Turf Classic (G1), and the Derby (G1) itself has the potential to pay well, even if dominated by short-priced winners. I'll be keeping it simple on my ticket.

Oaks

Obviously using my top selection of ESKIMO KISSES (#13, 15-1) but also California invader MIDNIGHT BISOU (#10, 5-2), who I think is the filly to beat.

Turf Classic

He's a better horse than he was last year when I backed him in this race, but I'm taking a stand against favorite BEACH PATROL and singling the up-and-coming SYNCHRONY (#7, 5-1), who as not run a bad one on the grass and looked a star in the making over the winter at Fair Grounds.

Kentucky Derby

I'll use my top three selections of JUSTIFY (#7, 3-1), AUDIBLE (#5, 8-1), and BOLT D'ORO (#11, 8-1) to close things out.
