Kentucky Derby Future Wager Pool 2 field announced

Pool 2 of the 2022 Kentucky Derby Future Wager (KDFW) will be held this week beginning Friday at noon (ET). Wagering will be available throughout the country, including at TwinSpires.com, until 6 p.m. Sunday.
The mutuel field of "All Other 3-Year-Olds" (#24) has been installed as the 7-5 morning line for Pool 2, while Kentucky Jockey Club (G2) winner #18 Smile Happy is the individual pool favorite on the morning line at 8-1. Smile Happy is reportedly pointing to the Feb. 19 Risen Star (G2) at Fair Grounds for his season debut.
The Lecomte (G3) at Fair Grounds on Saturday is the only Road to the Kentucky Derby series points race this weekend. Lecomte entrants listed in Pool 2 of the KDFW include #7 Epicenter, #14 Pappacap, and #20 Trafalgar.
The KDFW provides an opportunity to place bets on possible Kentucky Derby (G1) entrants at odds that could be greater than those available on race day. Win and exacta wagering only is available, and there are no refunds if a horse wagered on is subsequently removed from Derby consideration before May 7.
Future KDFW dates will be Feb. 11-13 (Pool 3), March 11-13 (Pool 4), and March 31-April 2 (Pool 5). The lone Kentucky Oaks Future Wager will coincide with Pool 4 of the KDFW.
