Looking Ahead at the Kentucky Oaks

You can expect a large field to turn out for the May 1 Fantasy (G3) at Oaklawn, which will award 100 Road to the Kentucky Oaks qualification points to the winner. A total of 48 fillies have been nominated to the 1 1/16-mile race, including graded stakes winners British Idiom, Harvey’s Lil Goil, Lazy Daisy, Lake Avenue, Shedaresthedevil, Swiss Skydiver, and Venetian Harbor. With few other options for high-class fillies to consider right now, the Fantasy could wind up being almost as deep a race as the Kentucky Oaks itself.
