Late Pick 3 play at Golden Gate Thursday

An eight-race card awaits TwinSpires players at Golden Gate Fields on Thursday, and I will take a swing at the late Pick 3 that kicks off at 6:24 p.m. ET.

6^TH Race

Crazy Sexy Mummy came under a ride on the far turn and grinded out a third consecutive victory, but her Brisnet Speed ratings decreased four points from her previous start and she could be a little vulnerable today at a short price. I will try to beat the favorite.

#2 Ruby Bradley is my top pick. The 4-year-old gray didn’t fire over a good track last time, but she ran well in her first two starts at Santa Anita this year and has experience over the Tapeta. She should find this company to her liking and with her tactical speed, Ruby Bradley should be prominent from the start.

I willalso use #3 Shari and #6 Gratzie, who are both eligible to make an impact in the final furlongs.

7^TH Race

This will be a key race as I’m against the top five choices on the morning line, building the ticket around #2 Blushing Bay, who steps up in class in sharp form for Jacqui Navarre (43% win this meet); #4 Lady of Perception, who stretches out in distance for her third career start off a pair of encouraging efforts; and #7 Dreaming About You, who appears to be rounding toward a peak performance.

8^TH Race

I will use both Doug O’Neill invaders. #2 Railsplitter exits a good second on Santa Anita’s turf. #5 Exhort adds blinkers and William Antongeorgi following a fifth in a Santa Anita turf maiden special weight, and the sophomore has experience on the Tapeta, finishing fourth in his career debut in late February.
