Locked installed at 10-1 for Pool 4 of Kentucky Derby Future Wager

Pool 4 of the 2024 Kentucky Derby Future Wager (KDFW) will be held this week. Wagering opens at noon ET on Friday and concludes Sunday at 6 p.m. $2 win and exacta wagering will be offered.

#24 Locked, winner of last year's Breeders' Futurity (G1) and third in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) in his most recent start in November, has been tabbed as the 10-1 favorite among the 39 individual betting interests. The 40th option of "All Other 3-Year-Olds" is the overall 2-1 morning line choice.

Two Kentucky Derby preps will be held concurrently during Pool 4 wagering. The Risen Star (G2) at Fair Grounds on Saturday features #5 Catching Freedom, #16 Hall of Fame, #17 Honor Marie, #29 Real Men Violin, #30 Resilience, #31 Sierra Leone, and #35 Track Phantom. Sunday's Sunland Derby (G3) features #25 Lucky Jeremy and #33 Stronghold.

Also competing this weekend is #27 Nash, who is entered in a 1 1/16-mile allowance at Fair Grounds on Saturday.

There will be two additional KDFW pools this spring. Pool 5 is scheduled for March 15-17 and Pool 6 will be held April 4-6. The lone Kentucky Oaks Future Wager (KOFW) will coincide with Kentucky Derby Future Wager Pool 5.
