On the same night that Churchill Downs offered nine Breeders Cup races on turf and dirt that may have settled every divisional honor other than champion three-year-old colt and horse of the year, the Meadowlands offered an intriguing card in which juveniles were featured while Rosecroft Raceway presented an overnight card.

Two races later in the $236,000 Kindergarten Classic for two-year-old filly trotters, Stella Jane (Corey Callahan) benefited from a pocket trip behind Sister's Promise (Tim Tetrick) through the first three calls, angled out at the head of the lane and drew clear late to score by two lengths at 17-1. A juvenile daughter of Crazed trained by John Butenschoen, Stella Jane now sports a 3-4-3 slate and $180,000 banked from 13 starts after stopping the timer in 1:54.4.
