#1 Hades                           **

Pro: Rapidly improving gelding one of two undefeated horses here.

Con: Faced far lesser in two December wins; tested for class.

#2 Inveigled                      ***

Pro: Indiana-bred has gotten a piece of the purse each race; picks up Irad Ortiz.

Con: Didn’t muster a serious rally hopping back into stakes company Jan.

#3 Otello                           ****

Pro: Won narrowly both starts, including Mucho Macho Man S.; should stretch out.

Con: Stakes win was not especially fast and needs to improve several lengths.

#4 Dancing Groom             **

Pro: Outfinished Fierceness in Champagne (G1), though still beaten more than 10 lengths.

Con: No threat in either stakes try; adds blinkers after showing limited early speed.

[SCRATCHED] #5 No More Time              **

Pro: Didn’t start or settle well in Mucho Macho Man; perhaps capable of better.

Con: Finished behind three rivals he meets again here.

Pro: Connections staying optimistic after Remsen (G2) flop in the mud.

Con: Latest effort might indeed prove to be a true bill, or close to it.

#7 Fierceness                    *****

Pro: Early Derby favorite has tremendous edge in class, speed figures.

Con: Juvenile champs Hansen, Shanghai Bobby, Classic Empire all met defeat in this race.



#8 Sea Streak                    **

Pro: New Jersey-bred gelding has won or placed in all four starts.

Con: Showed more speed with blinkers last time but might prefer to avoid pace duel.
