Con: Faltered in his two previous starts racing one mile, albeit on turf.

Pro: Rallied to win his lone start to date.

Con: Needs to improve upon his 60 Brisnet Speed rating.

Pro: Wired his debut at Churchill Downs with a strong 87 Brisnet Speed rating.

Con: He’s bred for speed and is running a quarter-mile farther than in his debut.



 

#4 Dominant Spirit * * *

Pro: Speedy gelding missed by only half a length when second in the Clever Trevor S.

Con: It’s possible one mile is farther than he wants to run.


#5 Brooklyn Alley Cat * *

Pro: Recently rallied to win an allowance over the track and distance of the Springboard Mile.

Con: His career-best 77 Brisnet Speed rating looks a little light.

Pro: Exits victory in a Remington Park allowance.

Con: Finished behind Springboard Mile rival Jolly Samurai when eighth in the Kip Deville S.


 

#7 Jolly Samurai * * * *

Pro: Unbeaten colt has won the Kip Deville and Clever Trevor at Remington.

Con: Stretching out over one mile is a new question mark.

Pro: Trounced his latest start in a six-furlong Horseshoe Indianapolis allowance.

Con: Failed to finish better than sixth in two previous stakes starts.



 

#9 Dr Ruben M * * * * *

Pro: Earned a field-best 92 Brisnet Speed rating when wiring a one-mile maiden special weight at Santa Anita.

Con: The Springboard Mile marks his first start against proven winners.


 


 

#10 Medicine Dog *

Pro: Won his debut at Remington Park by nine lengths.

Con: Finished third behind Jolly Samurai and Dominant Spirit in the Clever Trevor.


#11 Mister Omaha * * * *

Pro: Has won three straight starts against Oklahoma-breds, including two stakes.

Con: He’s stepping outside the Oklahoma-bred ranks for the first time.


 

#12 Keeno *

Pro: Rallied to finish second in a one-mile allowance at Remington last time out.

Con: Finished eighth behind Jolly Samurai in the Clever Trevor.
