#1 Gate to Wire                        ***

Pro: Took to dirt just fine with stylish victory in seven-furlong Swale S.

Con: Worth trying at two turns but might prove best as late-running sprinter.


#2 Sovereignty                           ****

Pro: Coasted in Street Sense (G3) over rivals that have done well at Oaklawn this winter.

Con: Enters off a bit of a layoff and might peak later in the spring.

#3 Burnham Square              ****

Pro: Unbeaten since adding blinkers, including solid win in Holy Bull (G3).

Con: Must continue to progress in this more competitive field.


 


McKellen wins at Aqueduct.

#4 McKellen                                *

Pro: Second best two back in allowance won by subsequent Lecomte (G3) winner.

Con: Made no impact in easier stakes last time and cross-entered in an allowance.

#5 Solid Left                                *

Pro: Track-and-distance maiden winner second out, but not a fast performance.

Con: Appears to be in too deep and is cross-entered in an allowance early in the week.

#6 River Thames                      *****

Pro: Excellent start to career with two overnight wins for barn that has won this four times.

Con: Will be tested for class in first two-turn try and value unlikely to be there.

#7 Neoequos                              ***

Pro: Aside from debut, owns solid record; barn is very strong this winter.

Con: Has limited experience facing open rivals and has only ever sprinted.

#8 Keep It Easy                          **

Pro: Capped juvenile campaign with easy Ed Brown S. win over next-out stakes winner.

Con: Owns hit or miss record and unraced beyond 6.5 furlongs.
