Pro: In the money all three tries; connections landed Holy Bull (G3) last week. 

Con: Still a maiden and has lost ground late in two of his three attempts.

#2 Treaty of Rome                   ***

Pro: Coolmore-owned colt was showing his best late in stakes debut last month. 

Con: Form of Mucho Macho Man S. took a hit when the winner trailed in Holy Bull.

#3 John Hancock                     ****

Pro: Promising maiden winner for WinStar, which has won this race five times.

Con: Concedes experience and is likely to be overbet.

#4 Dr Ruben M                           **

Pro: Recently fourth in Remington Springboard Mile, which has turned into a key race.

Con: Not overly competitive in Oklahoma and must quicken to contend here.

Pro: Despite losing his first two starts, remains with upside.

Con: Hard to endorse a maiden in a spot like this.

Pro: Consistent colt disqualified in Pasco S. though clearly best.

Con: Can’t afford to set Pasco-like fractions over this longer trip.



#7 Poster                                       *****

Pro: Godolphin homebred showed versatility winning Remsen (G2) in dirt debut.

Con: Nearly caught in that Aqueduct feature and must avoid losing focus.



#8 Naughty Rascal                 **

Pro: Three-time stakes winner was elevated to first in the Pasco last time.

Con: Lone win around two turns occurred on the grass; improvement is needed.

#9 Smoken Boy                        ***

Pro: A leading juvenile in Puerto Rico last season and won a lucrative stakes there. 

Con: Competition on the U.S. mainland is much tougher; has never run over a fast track.

#10 Very Bold                                **

Pro: Hasn’t had many chances to route, but very much bred to go long.

Con: Lone victory occurred in the slop; stablemate Poster obviously looks better.
