Pro: Ran a nice race in the Sam F. Davis S. with blinkers on, missing by a half-length.

Con: Form is hard to fault but does need to quicken some against this better field.

#2 Chancer McPatrick         ****

Pro: Multiple G1 winner at two and clearly didn’t run his best race in the Breeders’ Cup.

Con: Has had minor ankle surgery since last run; fitness is the main concern.

#3 Hill Road                                 *****

Pro: Exceeded expectations when a rallying third in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) last fall.

Con: Can’t afford to concede too much ground and possibly in need of a tightener.

#4 Brodeur                                   **

Pro: Enters off back-to-back wins over wet Oaklawn strip for barn that has won this twice.

Con: Relative class is the main concern as he steps into stakes company for the first time.

#5 Filoso                                        **

Pro: Breeders’ Futurity (G1) third got less pace help in Kentucky Jockey Club (G2) follow-up.

Con: The form of both Kentucky races have not been flattered subsequently.

#6 Naughty Rascal                 *

Pro: Retreating sixth in the Sam F. Davis an outlier on his record, perhaps capable of better.

Con: If his latest is any indication, he is probably a cut below on class.

#7 Patch Adams                       ****

Pro: Didn’t seem to run his race in the Southwest (G3); rebound threat for live connections.

Con: Heavily bet in all three starts and still might not get a square price.
