Race 2

Race 4

#3 Spa Shackalacka (3-1) makes his first outing for trainer Gonzalez while dropping in class off a fading unplaced effort at Delta Downs over 5 furlongs in January. Son of Shackleford has won four of 19 career starts and Gonzalez has won with 24% of runners at this meet. Gelding may be just fastest early with Journet riding.

Race 7

Claimers going 6 furlongs include #2 Trask (6-1), who has not been seen since showing little facing better on the all-weather surface at Turfway in early December. Trainer Martinez wins with 16% of her runners that have not raced for 90 days or more and has won with 35% of starters this meet. Dark bay has won three of eight starts at this distance and can be in good position throughout.

Race 5

Maidens go a mile here and #3 Hoyam (2-1) makes her first start on this oval for trainer Asmussen. Daughter of Fort Larned is a half-sister to five winners and has hit the board in one of her three starts for Asmussen, who won with two of his first four runners this meet. Filly can be on or near the early lead under Luzzi, who was aboard for both of barnโ€™s recent winners here.

Race 7

Another making her first start on this oval for Asmussen is #3 Aura (3-1), who comes off a third-place finish in an even effort at this distance at Sam Houston in late February in her second start after a short break. Asmussen wins with 21% of his runners third off a layoff and daughter of Midnight Lute is out of a half-sister to Dream Rush, who won the Test (G1). 4-year-old can be forwardly placed early with Luzzi up.

Race 10

Newcomer #4 Red Red Wine (15-1) has a good win-early pedigree being by 14% first-out sire Half Ours and out of a mare by Malagra, whose offspring win 11% of their first outings. Gray is a half-sister to four winners and trainer Gulilory won with one of his last five first-time starters. 4-year-old appears ready for a good first outing with Wade in the irons.
