Palm Beach Fabulous Friday Matinee Preview 9/16/2016

September 16th, 2016

Palm Beach always saves their best talent for the weekend and Friday will be no different.  Puppy Stakes Finalists, Track Champions & National Championship hopefuls all get the start in what should be one entertaining start to the best time of the week.  Time to roll out the red carpet race fans.  Sit back and enjoy the show.

Here are the top races we will be following for Fabulous Friday at "The Beach."

Race 10 Grade A 545 Yards

If he didn't have bad luck with box draws, he'd have no luck at all.

#3 Go Big Or GoHome from the Janie Carroll Kennel has fought against the odds the past two months, drawing the very undesirable 3 and 4 hole in seven of his last ten starts.  Still, "Bart" has managed to pull off a 50% winning  percentage in that span, using his lethal backstretch game to reel in the competition. Will most likely need that same kind of closing ability in this one if he is to win here.

You can never count out the wily veteran #8 PJ Smoke Em Out from the Agganis Kennel who still at 4 years old can run with the best talent at Palm Beach with that patented box fire.

Go Big brings his game today and takes home the victory.

Picks 3-8-1-7

Race 12 Grade A 545 Yards

Fans may be a little down on "Clifford" #5 Big Red Dog from Rader Racing after losing two straight, including the Puppy Stakes Final on Labor Day.  Make no mistake though, this has been one of the best sprinters all year long and having a dynamite break will never go out of style at Palm Beach.  Big Cliff even with the disappointing month can still turn it around today and grab a share of the season wins lead with a victory here.

Watch out for newcomer from Flagler #6 CP's All In from B & B Racing who hasn't missed the board in all 8 races this season and brings some serious heat going into the first turn. Early speedster #8 BS Angel is your best long shot, with consecutive place finishes going into this race.

I still believe Clifford.

Picks 5-6-8-3

Race 14 Grade TA 660 Yards

The rivalry continues.

Co-Track Champions #5 Ethel Is Here & #4 Atascocita Camry resume their season long battle on the "Rhonda" Course this afternoon, which will certainly fire up the worldwide fan base that can't get enough of these two when they are slated together.  Even better for us, they are sitting right next to each other to start!

In one could be the easiest quiniela pick of all time, expect Camry and Ethel to go out together once again.  With Ethel getting the best of Camry in all but one matchup this season, including last time out, it's hard to pick against the Derby Champ here.

Ethel gets her third straight victory and slowly starts to creep back into this season championship chase.

Picks 5-4-8-2

Race 15 Grade A 545 Yards

#6 Whirlin Toodlelu from the Douglas Kennel looks like she is on the brink of becoming a star.

After a runner up finish on Labor Day, "Toodles" as her friends call her won impressively last Saturday in what could be considered an all star race of Puppy Stakes Finalists & top A Graders.  The fantastic combo of great break and underrated afterburners are a sight to watch as she gets another chance to prove her game belongs in the top tier this afternoon.

Kennel mate #8 Ice Buster looks to be the biggest competition to Toodlelu with all the room on the outside to get in front.

A Douglas quinela for me as Toodlelu continues to rise up in the rankings.

Picks 6-8-4-5

Top Pick Race 14 - #5 Ethel Is Here

Enjoy all the action today race fans!
