Palm Beach Fathers Day Race Preview
*2014 Fathers Day Race Winner Tebucky Jones from Rader Racing.*
The top male greyhounds in all of South Florida will be going for the winners circle this afternoon, as Palm Beach presents the Fathers Day Feature on this holiday weekend. Many eyes will be watching to see if top ranked racer Pat C Short Cut will dominate this field or can PJ Smoke Em Out continue his Stakes dominance this season. Possible upsets? Here is a look at each racer and what I believe their odds will be in this Field that will going for the shiny blanket this afternoon at "The Beach."

#1 Pat C Short Cut ~ Koppe, Staats & Collins (8-5 Odds)
Gets his favorite starting box. Has won 5 straight from the pole position and has the rare combo of stellar rush and dynamite closing speed. Is coming off a less then eventful 6th place finish, but should bounce back in a big way here.
#2 Java Springfield ~ B & B Racing (8-1 Odds)
B & B Racing has won many of the top races this entire season and they send in one of their top rookies in the biggest race of his career here. Does have 6 wins in 16 starts at Palm and could pull the stunner if he gets near the front early.
#3 IllTakeMyChances ~ Royal Racing (7-1 Odds)
Owned by United Greyhound Racing (Creator of the National Championship) co-founder Michael Frino. "Chance" has hit the board in 5 of his last 6 races and could pay huge if you have him on the back of your exotic plays.

#4 JS Tow Mater ~ Koppe, Staats & Collins (9-1 Odds)
Crowd favorite owned by Shannon Henry. Does possess a solid close with a 78% board hit rate.
#5 RLM's Hitman ~ Douglas Kennel (12-1 Odds)
Is one of the most experienced racers of this field with 68 starts under his belt, but gets a horrible starting position with all the outside speed right next door. Board finish would be a solid effort here for the Hitman.

#6 Java Beretta ~ Champions Racing Team (3-1 Odds)
One of the hottest sprinters currently at Palm. Has finished first or second in his last 6 races and could challenge Smoke Em Out on the outside for the early lead here. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Beretta takes the Title home to her Team.
#7 Party Of One ~ Janie Carroll Kennel (4-1 Odds)
The hottest puppy prospect at the track right now. Will have to pop the lid better then he ever has in his career to keep with the starts of Beretta & Smokey. Has some late kick on the backstretch and should be in the hunt throughout.

#8 PJ Smoke Em Out ~ Agganis Kennel (2-1 Odds)
Has won multiple Titles out of the outside box this year, including the Rooney's Ale Cup last season and a Memorial Feature just last week. Will no doubt be in the lead to start here, the question will be can he hold on to it until the end. Many players on this race no doubt will say he can.
Predictions

I have to go with the top talent here in his favorite setup. Pat C Short Cut is the best chance this track has at a National Championship this Winter and today is a shot to prove it. The Koppe, Staats & Collins Team celebrates tonight.
Picks 1-6-8-7
I asked associates of mine in the greyhound industry who they though could win the Fathers Day Title this afternoon as well:
George Quinn ~ GreyhoundNews.co
"Java Beretta wins the duel against PJ Smoke Em Out."
Track announcer "Dogtrack" Mike Jameson
"Should be an interesting break with this one, but I'll take PJ Smoke Em Out to win. Has a lot of experience and is one of my favorite greyhounds at the track. If he can get to that rail, watch out."
International host of BigJackPotBetting.com Randy Birch
"Going with Pat C Short Cut. Best dog on the Royal Palm Course and Smoke Em Out will take out much of the competition to the right."
Enjoy the action today race fans and Happy Fathers Day to all!
