Palm Beach Final Top 10 Rankings 2014-2015 Season

What a racing season we just had at the Palm Beach Kennel Club! Many of the top greyhounds in the entire country ran here this year and many fantastic moments were witnessed by all. With course records being broken this season and national attention focused on this track, Palm Beach was once again a leader in the industry.

Here are the Final Top 10 Rankings for the 2014-2015 racing season at “The Beach.”

#1 Storm Control ~   Sprinter ~   B & B Racing

~ 18 wins, 29.39 secs best time

The sensational one put together a run for the ages this season for owner Steve Schlachter. Storm won the $50,000 He’s My Man Classic, $50,000 Rooney’s St. Patrick’s Day Invitational and was runner-up in the inaugural Daytona 550 National Championship race. Also had the highest winning percentage of any greyhound here (64%) this season. A future All-American without a doubt.

#2 Kb’s Like A Fox ~ Super Sprinter ~ Rader Racing

~ 27 wins, 16.48 secs best time

The two time Track Champion became only the 4^th greyhound since 1976 to repeat as Champ this season. Currently has 65 wins and could challenge Pat C Rendezvous' record 85 at Palm Beach if he can put another success campaign together next season. Is the best super sprinter I have ever seen period.

#3 Pat C Short Cut ~ Sprinter ~ Koppe, Staats & Collins

~ 21 wins, 29.12 secs best time

One of the most powerful greyhounds in the country. 52% winning percentage on the year and ran the fifth fastest sprint time in history here (29.12 secs) early this season. Shorty is the best chance Palm Beach has to win a National Championship coming up in January.

#4 Hustle It Up ~ Sprinter   ~ Janie Carroll Kennel

~ 25 wins, 29.49 secs best time

Transferred from Flagler to Palm Beach before the season started and immediately found success. Lead the season wins chase for most of the year and made the He’s My Man Classic & St Patrick’s Day Finals.

#5 JS SpeedyPebbles ~ Sprinter ~ Koppe, Staats & Collins

~ 24 wins, 29.45 secs best time

The “Queen of Palm Beach” put together another outstanding season, hitting the 50 career win plateau and being in the thick of the season wins chase until the very end. She also ran in the inaugural Daytona 550 National Championship. Her worldwide fan base is truly something special in our sport.

#6 Ethel Is Here ~ Middle Distance ~ Janie Carroll Kennel

~ 21 wins, 37.28 secs best time

Ethel was an absolute monster on the Pat C Rendezvous Course this season. Broke the Course Record on 11/4 and was a consistent winner all season long. Look out for Ethel next year when she returns to racing, as the sky is the limit with how much talent this greyhound possesses.

#7 Atascocita Jolie ~ Marathon/Middle Distance ~ Suncoast Racing

~ 9 wins, 41.41 secs best time (Marathon)

Did something this year I have never seen before in greyhound racing….came back from last place to win in 5 different races this season. On top of that, she smashed the Marathon Course Record on 6/26. One of the most dynamic closers Palm Beach has ever had.

#8 JS ToHotToHandle ~ Sprinter ~ Koppe, Staats & Collins

~ 20 wins, 29.30 secs best time

“Sizzle” had a fantastic rookie campaign, scoring 20 W's and hitting the board in 70% of her races for owner Shannon Henry. One of my top greyhounds to watch out for next season here.

#9 PJ Smoke Em Out ~ Sprinter ~ Agganis Kennel

~ 21 wins, 29.64 secs best time

Simply one of the best rushers in all of greyhound racing. "Smokey" made the Finals of the He’s My Man Classic & St. Patrick’s Day Invitational and has won several Feature Races throughout his career.

#10 Pat C Brightly ~ Middle Distance ~ Koppe, Staats & Collins

~ 11 wins, 37.60 secs best time

Put herself on the map with a huge win in the very prestigious $50,000 3/8ths Mile Derby. Is also one of the more versatile athletes at the Club, running in both the 545 yard and the 660.
