Palm Beach Thursday Matinee Preview 6-11-2015
*JS SpeedyPebbles*
A big day at the Palm Beach Kennel Club coming up this afternoon! Not only will BetAmerica be live throughout the Matinee at the track, the “Queen of Palm Beach” JS SpeedyPebbles comes back from a short rest in Race 14, looking to give her Team a chance at the season wins Track Title. World famous track announcer Mike Jameson will be calling home all the winners home for all to enjoy. Here are the top races I will be following for the Thursday Matinee at “The Beach.”

*Kb's Gold Rider*
Race 6 Grade A 545 Yards
This race has instant classic written all over it.
Rooney’s Cup winner #4 Kb’s Gold Rider from Rader Racing has been impressive this year with 18 wins but has been very sporadic lately. He’ll pop the lid with the best of them like he did on Memorial Day, other times completely misses the board. One of the more talented greyhounds at Palm but hard to predict.
#7 Java Beretta from the Champions Racing Team has put together a fantastic season. 21 wins, and has scorched two consecutive wins under 29.50 secs in his last starts.Sitting in a great spot on the outside with no early speed to contend with should have Beretta flying home for victory.
Picks 7-4-5-3

*SpeedyPebbles*
Race 14 Grade B 545 Yards
The race that will have worldwide interest without a doubt.
#2 JS SpeedyPebbles from owner Shannon Henry is ready to roll after getting a nice two week vacation away from racing. She has the opportunity this afternoon to tie for the season wins lead with 24 if she can pull this off. Dropping down to B Grade for the first time in her career will have Pebbles as the heavy favorite and she should be. To say that I really like Pebbles here to win would be a major understatement.
Watch out for #7 SKN Jackson from the Royal Racing Team, who does have 14 wins this season and has been known to pull off a few major upsets this year.
I’d be stunned if this was anything but SpeedyPebbles getting career win #53 this afternoon.
Picks 2-7-1-3
Race 15 Grade A 545 Yards
Wide open finale here, with many possibilities to choose from.
#2 Atascocita Chaz from Suncoast Racing jumped off the page immediately to me when looking at the Program. Just zoomed a 29.59 secs victory last time out and is sandwiched between two greyhounds that just sit in the box to start. High probability he gets out in front this afternoon.
Watch out for hot puppy prospect #6 Boc’s Dairy Queen from the Koppe, Staats & Collins Team, who has found her new home at Palm Beach very suitable to the tune of 4 straight wins. Can the tasty shop get her 5th straight W against the stars of A Grade?
#8 LeaveHimAlone is your best long shot play, as he has in the past been an 8 hole specialist. Stakes veteran #5 Superior Jamaica from B & B Racing has to be on any exotic plays you have, as he has hit the board in an amazing 13 straight starts.
Going with Chaz to bring home the glory to end the Matinee.
Picks 2-5-8-6
